Forest Giant Expands Service Offerings
LOUISVILLE, KY - Forest Giant, one of Louisville’s longstanding creative technology agencies, announced this week a major expansion to service offerings with the addition of search engine optimization (SEO), web performance optimization (WPO), and web accessibility services.
Forest Giant’s expansion into optimization will empower clients as they enter a new age of digital competition and regulation. While the company’s core services will remain in user experience, design, and software engineering, the company’s entrance into optimization will enable organizations to work with Forest Giant on smaller, shorter projects focused on performance, accessibility, and marketing goals.
“Historically our teams would focus on larger software projects with optimization services bundled together in the development phase, ” said Chris Wiedmar, CEO of Forest Giant. “By offering SEO, WPO, and web accessibility as standalone services we’re hoping to help organizations stay competitive and compliant without having to enter a larger engagement. “
Forest Giant’s suite of services have undergone a major overhaul since the appointment of CEO Chris Wiedmar late last year. In addition to the latest trio of optimization offerings, the company added dedicated services for user experience and innovation-as-a-service in December 2019.
“While search engine and web performance optimization are relatively standard for organizations to explore, we’re excited to bring a more focused web accessibility offering to our partners,” said Wiedmar. Based on a December 2019 report on digital inaccessibility lawsuits from UsableNet, over 2000 web and app accessibility lawsuits were filed in 2019, closely matching 2018’s report. This is in stark contrast to 2017, which had 814 cases filed, and 2016, with only 262 cases.
“We don’t anticipate this problem going away easily, mainly since so many websites and apps were created before there was a big push for accessibility. It’s only a matter of time until the lawsuit attention on the bigger brands shifts down to smaller organizations,” said Wiedmar. “We’re hoping to eliminate those risks for our partners.”
